Chalk it up to a lot of "intervening activities" back then. Recently, however, I have been told that there is a desire at continuing this page, and I was just happy to have somebody else do it.And then, of course, since as of the moment, I am already a history in the Department ;-).

I am writing this, from the Land of the Rising Sun. And as I am doing so, I am reminded of the wonderful (as well as not so wonderful) moments of my stay at the Department. There were so many, so many that I don't even know where to begin. Cliche.

Anyway, I intended this to be an article about how fulfilling it is to be a devcom practitioner or some stuff like that, but a sudden wave of nostalgia hit me and I no longer know what to write down. Suffice it to say though, that I had a great time! I hope my former students and colleague had the same great time with me too. If the next moderator of this page would still allow it, I will try to contribute some articles (that is, if I ever find the inclination and inspiration to write a better one than this sorry excuse of an article), hoping to provide some other perspective on communication, education and/or development work, based on some observations I might have in this foreign country.

Good luck to the next moderator of this page! Good luck to all who chose devcom! I miss you all!
